To stay secure you must use a unique and strong password for each account you create. One of the most important passwords you must protect is the one for your primary e-mail account. If this one is compromised, the thieves can take control of your e-mail account and use it to reset many of your other accounts. Be sure to use two-factor authentication for banking accounts and change your passwords periodically to stay ahead. If you’re not already doing so, adopt and use a password manager to help you generate and remember strong passwords.
